Who We Are
Who We Are
For more than a decade, Guidance Dental has helped restorative dentists deliver predictable, long‑lasting results. Our laboratory was an early adopter of in‑house micro‑CT technology to capture triple‑tray impressions in three dimensions. Although that scanner reached end‑of‑life recently, the transition has been seamless: today over 95 percent of the cases we receive arrive as fully digital intra‑oral scans.
What’s Changed — and What Hasn’t
Digital‑First Workflow The move to direct IOS files removes an analog conversion step, reducing distortion and turnaround times.
Proven Design Rules Years of data from micro‑CT validation taught us exactly how guidance copings, custom abutments, and crowns need to fit. Those same design parameters drive every restoration we fabricate today.
Precision Manufacturing High‑end 5‑axis milling, controlled sintering protocols, and meticulous hand‑finishing ensure each unit matches the digital intent within microns. Our remake rate remains well below industry averages.
What We’ve Learned
Fit begins with design + verification — once validated, consistency is a manufacturing challenge, not a scanning one.
Manufacturing quality matters as much as CAD — toolpath strategy, bur wear, furnace calibration, and final finishing all affect accuracy.
Materials have limits — full‑arch or >¼‑arch posterior reconstructions in monolithic zirconia still carry higher long‑term fracture risk. We recommend hybrid or framework solutions for those indications until the science matures.
Where We’re Headed
Our goal is simple: do what we already do, even better.
Continuous QC analytics on every batch
Expanded material options as evidence supports them
Ongoing R&D collaborations to refine strength, translucency, and shade workflows
Guidance Dental will always pair cutting‑edge tech with the craftsmanship that keeps remake calls rare and chair‑time short. Thank you for trusting us with your restorations — we’re just getting started.
